Pint should be enough. I only use one coat on my bench top, too many coats will make the surface overly slick. I’d probably do at least 2-3 coats on the cabinets.

I use 2 coats. Apply it liberally, let it set for a few minutes then wipe it tight. Wait at least 24 hours, longer if it is cold, then second coat. Don’t apply as much for the second coat. A pint will be plenty.
