If you enter “Branding Irons” on the lj’s search engine, you’ll see 3,000 results. I use a electric wood burner and engrave my 3 initials. I have checked into branding irons & small laser engravers. Using a branding iron on high heat will also burn the surrounding surfaces of the image. so use a lower heat setting. practice on scrapes at different temperatures. Check the review that CL810 did 10/15/2018 on vanHanke branding irons.

Rockler also sells them, but I believe you can only select from some standard “images” along with how you want your name displayed. In other words, I don’t think you can custom design something. My wife bought one for me and it does the job. Very clear, but I always test on a scrap of the same material to be get a feel for how long to hold it on for the burn based on the material.
