Hitachi C12RSH Miter saw adjustment

I bought a router from BST 4 years ago. The first one had a problem with too much runout. I returned it for exchange and the 2nd one was fine.

I’d hate to have to do that for something as large as a miter saw, but it was a relatively painless exchange for me.

I rarely remember model numbers, but I might have the same saw – but got it news at Lowes on a screaming deal.

[EDITED to say] No. Yours is a slider while mine in the non-slider. I just looked it up

Sad to say I’ve never used it – just bought it on impulse when I walked through the store one night. I’m still using my Dad’s old Craftsman RAS. Mine is a 12” double bevel non-sliding saw.

I have the same saw.

There are no instructions in the manual on how to square the saw to the table and to the fence.
The adjustment you are talking about is how to fine tune an angle cut.

To adjust the blade square to the fence, you have to adjust the fence. See this video.

If the blade is not perpendicular to the table then you have to adjust the stop or the rails.
