Haven’t done this but my plan would be this; disassemble and remove the fence and rail system. Remove the bolts holding the saw to the base unit. Go to the liquor store and buy a 12 pack of beer. Find a beer loving buddy to help you lift the saw off of the base. Install the dust chute while your beer loving buddy enjoys a beer. Between beers you and your buddy can lift the saw back onto the stand and reinstall the bolts holding the saw and base together. Finish off the 12 pack with you buddy then reinstall the fence and rail system the next day when your head clears up.

Yes! I already have the beer. I’ve been sampling it just to make sure its not going bad.

If it’s any where near as fun as it was assembling my Delta table saw, then 12 beers won’t be enough.

Turns out it wasn’t as big of a job as I had imagined. I suspended my strap hoist from a chain that I have over a couple rafters. I didn’t have to lift more than tilting it back a little until the strap hoist and sling took the load. Let it down on it’s back and added the chute then ratcheted it back to near upright until I could bring it forward onto all four feet. I didn’t even have time to drink a beer. Now on to building my dust collection system.

The hose is all connected to the table saw dust chute and my vacuum/dust collection system is very nearly ready. Just lack the cyclone which should show tomorrow. I need to find at least one 90ยบ elbow for the takeoff from the vacuum. I used an old brush head and a short sleeve for an elbow for the time being. Hope it works.
