This reminds me of the one with the snake inside it. It has happened before but not to me and hope it doesn’t.

Gosh ! One one hand you think those critters have plenty of advanced notice with all the noise of the chainsaw and the fall of the tree, but on the other, where else to take refuge then in a place they know well ! Poor them !

Never had anything happen like that. I did one year start out with 21 chickens and by the time fall came I only had two cause coons and opossums killed the rest. I say if something has to die I’d rather hav that than a cat or rabbit. I hate them critters but being cut in half with a saw is a crappy way to go

I hear they are greasy, but still don’t think it makes for good chain lube.

Too soon guys. Too soon :)

Don’t feel bad. I had one that made a home in my shop. It came at me. A hatchet was the closest thing handy. It was a mess.

Where I used to work, a lady who worked there brought in a possum cooked for a Christmas dinner.

Either possums are different where you live or you’ve confused possums and newborn puppies. If I’d have cut a possum in half, I’d have went ahead and quartered it just to be on the safe side ;-P

I thought I choked this one out. When I went to take the noose off I found out why they call it playing possum. In comes the hatchet.

Cut the poor pussy right down the middle

We didnt even realise until it was too late.

I have another idea Corelz125 is the brand of a small chainsaw…yes … no?

Here in New Zealand possums are a pest that destroy our native forests.

The only good possum is a dead one.

no chainsaw brand but if you start a new line of chainsaws and use the name i think royalties might come into play. Rob what did you make out of that chunk of wood?

Was this in Texas? LOL

We cut down a hollow tree with a family of flying squirrels inside, they went sailing everywhere. One lit on my cousin who cut the tree down. I used to hunt squirrels, rabbits, deer, quail, etc., and didn’t even know we had flying squirrels. Apparently they are nocturnal. Never cut an animal in half with a chainsaw, that’s kinda gruesome.

I’m all for that myself using up what ever you can get your hands on. Always good when you get to build something with your son.
