Band saw blade bearing adj

My understanding is it should be the thickness of a piece of paper away… so as close as you can get it without touching. The back bearing is a tricky one though as the blade usually has a step in it at the weld. Some say to grind this down with a file on the back of the blade the first time you use it. It will help prolong the life of your bearing and run smoother too.

it Should touch the bearing only with pressure from the blade. Very light pressure at that.
