Is 3/4 hp enough for a 6" jointer?

Depends on how deep of a cut you want to make, but 3/4hp should be up to the task. I’ve got a Grizzly 6” with a 1hp motor and it’s never seemed remotely lacking in power.

I had a 3/4 hp motor on my 6” jointer and it was plenty.

My old Craftsman 6” jointer only had a 1/2hp motor on it. It did alright as long as you weren’t taken deep cuts. You should be fine with a 3/4hp motor.
