I’ve never had any problem with it interfering with finish. I will say, I bought one can and tried it then switched back to paste wax. I find paste wax is a little more hassle to apply but it seems to be better at discouraging rust and is good deal less expensive.

T-9 is nothing more than paste wax with a little bit of mineral oil thrown in for good measure.

Cheers,
Brad

I’ve tried T-9 and never had any transfer to the wood. It does seem to take longer to dry than just plain past wax.

I use T-9 on all my planes and never had an issue.

My suggestion would be to actually contact them and ask about possible finishing implications. They are nice folks, and give prompt replies. It’s one way to get correct info, not just what someone thinks. I can say I’ve used their product, and never noted a problem with finishes, and I also agree with those saying they get as good a surface on a TS, and as good or better rust prevention with just Paste Wax.

Contact info here.
