Stone Coat casting resin is the best I’ve used. There’s a learning curve. They do have a ton of videos that really help.

You might consider glass, also. Check my projects for an example. Epoxy resin is much cheaper, though.

I have never been a fan of the prices of S3 and West, which are always recommended. Talking to a furniture guy who uses a lot of this stuff, he recommended Raka, which is cheaper. Been using it for more than a year and unless I can find something that costs less and is of equal quality, there is no reason for me to switch.

Raka looks to be some pretty good stuff. Pricing is in line with Stone Coat. A bit cheaper.
