Retrofitting a Table saw fence to a delta 34-670

I have a Vega fence and it comes with some pretty heavy duty “L” brackets to lower the glide tube so the fence is flush to the table. Could you cut some sections of angle iron to make your own custom heavy “L” brackets? Not sure how much lower you need to get.

Thank you for your idea.
I was thinking something similar like using a U channel and drilling it to match the table saw, then drilling holes for the T-track. Then slide bolts into the T track and puting washers and nuts on the inside of the U channel. hoping that the U channel will be sturdy.
