Price if any machine depends on your area and what’s available.
I can share that I did have a x5 about ten years ago. I sold it for 500 on CL.
If you do get this saw and have to take the top off the base keep track of any shims in the corners. Very important they go back or your 45 bevel cuts will be affected.
Good luck

The “X5” isn’t anything special, it’s the same Unisaw as the others of the era..with a name change (and longer warranty as I recall). That said, I had a 2001 Uni that I bought new and sold about 3 years ago. Mine had that mobile base, the Unifence, and was right tilt. I had quite a few extras that went with mine, but that doen’t always (if ever) add anything to the value…just might make it sell quicker. I wound up asking $1100, and accepted $900. So I guess I don’t think his price is too far off, and it does depend on geography to a large extent (I’m considered rural). The left tilt probably adds to the value, but it would be a great saw if you decide the price is right. If I was in the market for one, I’d certainly go look. Be sure to ask if the splitter/guard is around.

Id say it depends on what the saw is really worth to you, I’ve one for almost 30 years and well, its a work horse, have had no issue, it is a right tilt, but same motor, ect. it was the mainstay of my cabinet shop couple decades ago, but now adorns my shop as head master,
I’m a fan of the unisaw,

good luck, sure looks to be in excellent shape, and boy howdy a pain to move

That looks like about the right price to me. A new one is more than $2500 dollars, so I think 1/2 price is fair.

That is a solid price – not a steal, not a rip-off… would be in the upper-middle of the range around my area. Looks to be well taken care of and in excellent shape, and the only thing it appears to be missing is the miter gauge; which is not really all that much of a loss as most people prefer sleds anyway. Being left tilt also appeals to a lot of folks, and the mobile base is a bonus as well.

The “X5” versions were your standard Unisaw, but with a 5 year warranty.

I’m wondering if the fence got upgraded at some point though… the model number indicates a 30” (to the right of the blade) fence. Based on the base being used, that looks more like the 50” version.

That saw would sell for that price or more in my market.

Fair price. If you’re looking for something in good shape, it’d get my vote.
