glue block question

I glue all around the rim if I’m sanding the base or removing the chucking point as it makes removing the glue easyier to remove and for the inside of the bowl and the edge of the bowl I use different sized plate shapes of wood to fit different sized bowls that have a chucking points on them and that I can glue to the base of the bowl.

I found that if you put a dollop of hot melt glue on the base of your bowl and stick it to some wood its a nightmare to get the bowl off and the glue off. Les
