I think it would look great in cherry or walnut, but if you are after the lighter color like shown maple might be the better choice. You can have your hardwood dealer surface the rough beech stock two sides (S2S) to 13/16” if you ask them. Have them straight line cut one edge and you will be all set. -- The optimist says "the glass is half full". The pessimist says "the glass is half empty". Gaboon ebony for the legs and knobs, quilted maple for the frame members, drawer front, and top, and spalted holly for the panels … perhaps? |
