In my book, that’s high, especially for a long drive but market prices vary widely depending on area.

I have a JJ-6CS that has never given me a bit of trouble. It’s built like a tank and being a jointer there’s not that much that could go wrong with it anyways. Mine is probably 14-15 years old and as you said is similar to other Jet jointers produced after it. Being that the one you’re looking at has a longer bed then mine, $500 is a good ballpark price with maybe a little wiggle room there.
