I don’t think you can go wrong with any one of them. If it was me and they all operate good I’d keep the powermatic. I’ve not been around the deltas but a fella I know has the powermatic and loves it but I’ve heard good things about the deltas too. Play ur cards right and you’ll b able to keep which ever one u want and sell the other for profit and basically have a free saw.

Jim, I agree with JCamp. I’m a fan of Powermatic for their quality, unless the Delta is in better condition.
If you don’t have 3 phase power you might consider re-powering the saw with a 1 phase motor instead of adding a converter. There is probably a used market for the old 3 phase motor.

Dang – I’d be all over those if they were closer :(

Cheaper and easier to just add a VFD. You get to keep the benefits of a three phase motor (more robust, efficient and nothing to go wrong on them but bearings), and get gobs of extra features you couldn’t otherwise.

Checked out the Craigslist page. They all look like they’re in need of a lot of TLC, and a lot of space to work on them. There will be a home for them someplace. LOL! I have no time, space or place, or 3 phase 220.
