Unless it comes with upgraded parts, you’ll want the US-105 micro-adjust support bar and the SE-77 jig. The support bar makes fine control of grinding angle much easier, and you can leave your existing support bar permanently mounted in the horizontal base for use on the honing wheel.

Eventually, you will need a truing tool to flatten the wheel. Since you’re going to be sharpening turning tools, their gouge jig, multi jig and turning tool setter are likely going to make your life easier.

Thats a great deal I’ve been looking for a month now to replace my 2000. I wore out two grinding stones and now it needs a lot of replacement parts. Its a tool that gets better for you the longer you use it !
Don’t leave the wheel in the water when your not using it it corodes the shaft and nuts faster. You can also place a couple magnets in the water tray to grab the grindings. I think it helps.

Set up blocks for each tool make your life easier. Do read the manual or watch the video several times. Also engrave your tool with say a letter and use same letter to the set up block. This way you do not have to remember what goes to what. Because lets face it, we ain’t getting any younger and the recall button seems to not work as well. LOL

Rich mentioned the fine tune bar, don’t have one but will be looking into getting one. Thanks for the tip Rich!
