Your bench looks like a Hammacher Schlemmer, you should be able to Google info online and find the model no. Here is a pic of your style bench in a single user.

What makes you believe its a Hammacher Schlemmer? Not doubting you just asking what drove you to that so I can understand. I was thinking it was either a E. H. Sheldon or a W. M. Welch. I cant prove it in any way but all three look very similar.

Hitman, The top construction looked very similar, the base not so much. I said in my post that it Looks like and thought it might be a lead for you to look into. Here is a better look at the top.

Obvious to me the bench is built for two people to work at. Maybe it was used at a school.
I like it,very well built.
