Nice looking bee hive.
I would suggest putting a piece of metal roofing over the top for greater durability in the wet climate. I have done this with numerous bird houses, bat houses, and wood duck nests I have made in not quite so wet Oregon and found that they last a lot longer. Pieces of rolled composition roofing works too.

I thought about metal, but getting to lay right is difficult, so I opted for a layer of fiberglass on top.
