Need ideas for attaching case to wall

I would use a French Cleat or two. If you Google french cleat you will find commercial versions available. They are easy enough to make and can easily be hidden with trim.

Ditto on the French cleat and the Z-clips!

z clips attached to an upper horizontal member. French cleats are too thick for this project. IMO

French cleats could be made to be hidden if the back is recessed by 3/4”. Very simple and extremely strong method.
