Finishing Cabinets PreCat + HVLP

If possible consider removing the cabinet backs. This way you can spray with the face frames on and not suffer blow back. The backs can then be sprayed and reattached.

I normally apply the stain, paint or finish to the face frames prior to assembly of the cabinet carcass and face frame. I use UV ply for the cabinet carcasses so not finish is necessary on the inside. If you are using regular birch ply and you have to finish the insides, my advice would be to spray the finish on each piece individually before assembling the carcass.
