Joining Timber Slats on a Splayed Table

Dowels or Loose tenons. Biscuits could
work too but would require more fussy
clamping while the glue sets.

The tricky thing with using dowels or loose
tenons is that making the holes for them
on angled parts can involve some elaborate
jigs. Biscuit joiners have tilting fences that
allow the tool to cut slots on angled faces
easily.

Festool Domino joiners have a similar fence.
There are dowel joiners available too with
the tilting fences.
