Does anyone know about this company? Don t bother googling it, all you ll come up with is the saw that I just bought. I mean nothing. Its a 4.5tpi rip saw, not too old by the looks and price of it. Marking on the blade says:

The Kordon Co. Cleveland, OH— Sole Distributors and Marketers
“Born Under Fire”
Guaranteed to Stand the Test of Time

The seller sells lots of vintage hand saws—Warranted Superior, Pennsylvania, Atkins, Disston. Only one Kordon. And he didn t share much info, so I think he may not know much about it either. I m not a collector, and I bought the saw for using, not for looking at, so I won t be disappointed if there is no collectible value to it. I d just like to know its provenance.

Hello, I also have two of these Saws and cannot find anything on Google. I have a theory. I believe the saws are manufactured during the mid to late 1940’s possible 1950. The “Born Under Fire” Quote could be the saw was named after the Dauntless dive bomber fighter plane during WWII. I guessing that whoever came up with the name for this saw had knowledge of this plane. Let me know what you think?
