Get yourself a cheap dril press drift. They work great simply an angled wedge of metal with a slot sometimes you use two opposed to each other but most times one is enough.If it is a morse taper which it almost certainly will be it should come out with a little light persuasion.definitely not a great deal of whacking it which will cause definite damage.Look up drill drift on google.Alistair
