in my 30’x60’ old shop
i had 3 rows of lighting every 10’
alternate t-12 tubes and 300 watt incandescent pool table fixtures
each row switched independently
(i had read somewhere that tube lighting alone was not enough)

this was before Al Gore invented the internet
and at that time just regular tubes were available
(at least at the big box stores)
