I’ve never milled a tree before so this is a cool adventure. I will do the things you recommend and look forward to having some wood next year.

To be honest, it’s way too much work for me. My bandsaw is too small and it takes a couple of people to lift and hold the pieces.

My parents are getting on in age and I’m hoping this wood can be an emotional link for them in some sort of project. I’ll make them a spice rack for their pills, or something. lol!
