I'm looking to replicate a game board with "cups" cut into it (its a sort of counting game called Mancala) and I'm having trouble with them. I bought a 2" diameter rounded-bottom bit but once I tried it (see photo, cut into the sample on the left) I realized that the original is actually sort of flat on the bottom. I haven't seen a cutter that looks like that. Is this possibly done with a smaler bit and a jig, or ???? Thoughts?
If I had already bought the 2" bit used in the example on the left, I'd be inclined to use it, unless of course the material left in the bottum of the cup is too thin.
Picked up a 1" core box bit, mocked-up a template and -bingo - got what I wanted. Thank you all for you input!
