Really depends on what you are looking to achieve. Cedar turns silver grey. All of the finishes will be affected by the U V in the sun. There are treatments to prevent rapid change, but you will have to re treat the wood in a few years. DMC’s work will preserve the color. ( For awhile)

Cedar will probably outlast treated wood,
