it depends to me on the sides/ends joinery
as yours are real wood
with a ply bottom
and the movement of them each slightly different
no glue for the bottoms they just slightly shy of the dado bottom
if they are rabetted to the sides/ends
then yes glue and some nails or small screw fasteners too

if all is the same material
(like melanine or sheet materials)
i will glue them into place
as they will move together

but loose in dadoes is generally my choice
with good side/end joinery
