I glue plywood drawer bottoms in place. Same as cabinet doors: if it’s plywood glue it, if it is solid wood let it float. There is less chance of a drawer failure if the whole drawer is glued together, as it becomes one rigid unit.

Of course, there are many good ways to build a drawer.
