Ya, without picts it’s not easy. The only thing I can say is to maybe cut some identical wood with the grain going the same way, tap it in with glue. Not perfect but a fix that will look good unless someone looks really close.

-- The smell of wood, coffee in the cup, the wife let's me do my thing, the lake is peaceful.
