They have some funky design choices. I believe adjusting the blade height is done with a lever so incremental adjustment in the 1000s of an inch may be difficult. You also may not be able to run a dado blade, etc. That said, they offer a lot of capacity for the money.

I had a Robland jointer/planer for a few years and while the tables were dished I could get accurate results from it. Mine was old and green and they may have fixed the dished table issue in the grey ones.
