Excellent advice folks. Much appreciated.

I am all for used stuff but hate searching for it. I don t even mind driving a ways for it so long as I can make the round trip back to northern NM in a day. Let me know if you are aware of anything. My max price for a new one would probably be 3K$ Depending on what extras might come standard. Grizzly doesn t include much. I d love to see your favorites between 2k$-3k$. I very much like the idea of having one that can double as a router with a collet adapter so I can run a dual setup with my router table on occasion.

Depending on how much used machinery is in your general location 2-3k could get you a true industrial machine on the used market. 7.5hp, 1500lb 120/130 class machine.

I’ve not paid over 1500 for a shaper in that general category.
