I have no idea what the efficiency is or the micron rating, what I am interested in is how often I have to clean the filter or bags and how well the DC works. As an example, with the filter Oneida sent, I would see it clog within 30 to 45 minutes when sanding which required me to unmount it from the DC, take it outside and blow it out with an air hose. I wasted an easy 30 minutes each time and [email protected]#$ off the neighbors with the dust cloud blowing in the wind. And when I reinstalled the pleated paper filter which they claimed was a HEPA filter, I could see dust particles passing through the filter when I restarted the DC. So much for a $400 pleated paper HEPA filter. Today, after 45 minutes of sanding, I truned the DC off and shook the bags. Very little dust fell off the bags into the collection bag.

Now, the DC seems to pull more air, the efficiency of the cone seems to be increased with very little dust entering the bags and I see much less dust swirling around the room where the DC lives. There is less saw dust in the bottom of my two cabinet saws, the separator at the jointer works better and the separator at the sander seems to be working better as well.
