Possibly make a statement that you need the screws holes at 1 1/4” and are finding only 7/8”

This one says it’s 1 1/4” but they are talking overall width, and the screw holes are 7/8”

I believe you will find wider, but they will start to look like a barn gate, versus a cabinet. Either that or look cheaper with a hook and eye kind of configuration.

Hand made by a Smithie if you have a local connection. Or if online send them one of what you are finding for style, with clear instructions on how big, and wide you want it made. With a sketch works best.
