Very light colored woods that you would typically find in a home center are Basswood, Balsa, Maple, Aspen, “Whitewood” (that’s what they label it as however nobody I know has ever found a Whitewood tree…), Pine, Spruce, Fir. Like others said though, without pictures, there is no hope of us being able to identify it for you.

Your pic for #2 looks like some kind of plywood with something laminated to it. Maybe oak from the picture but not enough detail to be able to tell for sure.
