I also follow another website closely regarding another interest/hobby. The moderators are MUCH more involved. When people start name-calling and being nasty towards each other they lock the post, it’s still available to view but no more snarky comments. If you start dropping f-bombs your post are deleted and you get a warning. They will even ban you. Anyways that’s not my point. You can search for members by state. Several times a year different areas of the country have get-togethers, picnics, or spend a weekend together enjoying the hobby. They even have swap-meets.
