Cut with it, if it cuts clean ignore it.

Normally you replace the stock throat plate with a Zero Clearance Insert on day 1 as your first safety upgrade. I ordered my ZCI with the saw.

When you set the throat plate you normally leave the front a hair low and the rear the same amount high. This prevents the stock from catching during feeding.

If you have to measure the error with a micrometer it’s probably not worth worrying about.
