Hi Kent,

Did you ever find your screw? If yes, I was wondering if you would be willing to sell me your extra thumbscrew if you still have it.

I recently bought a Stanley #80 and one of the thumbscrew had been broken in the body of the scrapper. I tried to drill it out without success so I will also need a special tap 10-28 but I’m willing to have it restored properly.

Like you, I don’t want to turn it into a $200 scaper plane and having a screw shipped from the US on Ebay is now $48 USD!
