I’m trying to remember if I replaced it 25 or so years ago. I have one face covered with a 1.5” thick piece of oak, on the saw side, and a router table mounted on the wing so a router piece mounted on the other. It is a solid piece, and I don’t think I’ve had problems with it slipping. I replaced the miter with the Vega years ago, love that piece.
