I know there are products https://www.amazon.com/Concrobium-Control-Household-Cleaners-Gallon/dp/B009AN7Y2U/ref=sr16?crid=1P39H8NLWH6BV&dchild=1&keywords=mold+and+mildew+killer&qid=1594392988&sprefix=mildew+killer%2Caps%2C174&sr=8-6 that “crush” the mildew spores but have no idea how that would affect raw wood. Using bleach only bleaches the mildew but won’t kill it. My gut reaction is to plane the material to remove the tainted part however I would be careful how you handle the air and material if using any powered tools. Stay safe.
