I’m impressed that you can get segments off a SCMS to make a ring in any case. Even with a single gap, that’s far better than most SCMSs can hold. There’s just more slop inherit to the design than with something like a table saw. If you only have one piece that’s off, it’s hard to attribute fault to the blade. The more teeth, the better for crosscutting as a general rule. However all blades are not created equal. So a 60T Harbor Freight Blade is a whole different story than a 60T Forrest blade.
