I finally got through to Delta support and the gentleman told me that the 36-700 was a short run special edition of the 34-444 with cast iron wings. It was made in 1997. I’m constantly browsing OfferUp, Letgo, 5 Mile and of course Craigslist and just stumbled upon someone changing hobbies that was happy with letting go at a great price. I’m likely to change the belt this week as the saw vibrates far more than it should and I suspect that its due to the belt having been in one position for a long time and having developed a memory kink. I’ve already bought a miter gauge and a dado blade so other than the belt, I’ll be set for a bit on the saw. The jointer has a couple of nicks in the blades so I’ve ordered a new set. When they arrive I’ll have the nicked ones sharpened and it will be good to go as well. Overall, I think this is the best tool score I’ve ever made and I can feel good about it because the seller is quite happy too!
