Assuming you mean T-Tracks for a fence to ride in, they should be set so the face of the fence can move forward all the way past the bit. Probably by an inch or two depending on how large the bits are you’re planing on using. The other end would run all the way out the back of the table top, so you can get the T-screws into the slots. And also to give you maximum capacity between fence and bit, which is helpful if you plan on routing dadoes in the middle of a panel.

If you mean T-track running parallel with the fence, for using featherboards and such, then I would guess 4 to 6 inches in front of the bit. Maybe buy/make the featherboards first and see where the slot needs to be.
