Hi Mr. Unix, Captain Klutz, WoodenDreams, and Aj,
Thanks to all for your helpful posts:

Here is the Operating Instructions catalog for my “Jointer” .

I found this manual after my very first post was posted (which was in the “review” process and not put on this forum for a few days.) The manual is in PDF format and can be downloaded. (thanks to Vintage Machinery.org)

The belt is part # 49-138 ; (it’s in the parts list)

Even though the marking is not so good on my belt, here it is: 14 IN ROCKWELL CAT. NO. 49 138; Bingo!

All that said, I was not able to find any belt with that PN anywhere. I have a hunch, however, that the 4” Jointer models following this one might use the same belt under a different PN… wishful thinking, so far.

We do have a NAPA store real close – staff is very friendly. (Captain Klutz…are you a neighbor of mine?) If they’re not closed, I’ll go looking there for a suitable belt (all non-essential businesses have been ordered by our governor to close until the all clear is given).

I believe the pics in the above referenced manual will help

Really thank you all…. will look for any further comments or advice.

Stay safe!!!

-- Chris
