I was wondering if it could be legit. The prices seem too low to be true, but I was not sure. I almost pulled the trigger but thought I'd better ask first. Found mixed opinions on a Google search; some seem to have actually bought from them successfully. So I was asking if anyone might have some knowledge or experience with this seller.

Wasn't that clear from my post?
Should this be posted elsewhere?

Even the scam check engines have almost nothing to say about them?

https://www.scamfoo.com/site/fasterpowertool.com/

https://www.islegitsite.com/check/fasterpowertool.com/

https://fasterpowertool.com.cutestat.com/

Although the last site shows fasterpowertool.com is hosted on same IP as :
fastesttools.com
toolscomb.xyz
toolscombo.xyz
fastertools.top
toolscomboplus.top

Registering many similar names at same Host is common method used by folks that register and sell domain names. They will often load the site with mostly useless pages, and use ad revenue generated people viewing the site to pay for hosting costs. There are 3rd party grey market goods sellers that will fill empty sites with store front to help owner and them selves make a quick buck. The only comment I can make is don't buy anything that you can not confirm is in stock, is brand new and not returned/reconditioned goods, and ships immediately.

The site owner is using Dynadot LLC hosting which provides anonymous registration. Short of court order, no easy way to trace down the real person who owns/manages the site if there is a problem.

Caveat emptor

I've seen these kinds of things ranging from power tools to bike shoes. My read is that they're not technically a scam, but a low-probability of delivery situation. The people are likely liquidators in China who have bought stuff that didn't make QC standards, and are now off-selling what can't be absorbed by the Chinese market. I've been to China and seen the enormous knock-off markets-this is likely an extension.

So, it's kind of a weird, international bet-my credit card company won't let me make an order, so I just pass.

Needless to say, caveat emptor. It COULD be a scam. It MIGHT not be. NOTHING might get delivered.

As Clint Eastwood said in Dirty Harry-'Do I feel lucky? ' Well do ya, punk?'

If you have to ask, why risk it. The rule of thumb is if it seems to good to be true, it usually is. The website registration date is only a few months old and they are offering ridiculous discounts. Two red flags.

Likely what would happen if you did go there, and buy a "set of Milwuakee" drills, and batteriesā€¦ Or whatever. About 2 to 3 weeks later you would get a package delivered with a set of red colored tools, and they would be dead ringers of the Milwaukee tools pictured. Everything BUT the little Milwuakee labels, and of course the legitimacy you would get from a real Milwaukee made product. IOW there won't be a warranty card.

China is our friendā€¦...... Yah rightā€¦

Each pic from the right is the real thing, a Milwaukee, Red Lith, bigfoot, 12volt battery. Expected battery life, charge time, the whole Enchilada. On the Left is the $7.92 cent poser.

In the pics that we bought from, there were sure as poop is brown, pics that said MILWAUKEE on the labels, HOWEVER never in the description was there an utterance of it being a Milwaukee product, nor any claim to a Milwaukee guarantee. 6 of us had been out to eat, and we decided the pack of 6 for $42.00 sounded like a great way to try these, just to see if they were total crap, or a HF version of crap. Sometimes HF gets a zinger in on ya, and sometimes you get them??? In this case all 6 of us were certain that we were buying Chinese knock off products, we were not happily surprised.

The charge time is roughly double, the run time is roughly half. Weight, and feel is same same. They hook right up, and work our Milwaukee tools, maybe a little less power, but you would need special testing apparatus to say for sure. I'm really glad I own the real deal, but if I need to use a battery, and this is charged, and ready, I'll use it. Will I buy more of them????? Probably not, at least if Home Cheapo keeps having good sales on them at Christmas.

BTW what we bought was off the Bay, not these, but there were a lot of sellers with same, similar, and at many price points on the Bay, so I imagine you'll see a lot more like this. Remember it's always Caveat Emptor, unless God tells you different.

Interesting info from folks who know a lot more about this stuff than I do. Thanks!

I ll certainly take a pass on this.

If folks are bothered by my posting the question, I m happy to delete it.

I'd say let it stand, as a learning, teaching tool. There are a lot of noobs, and some guys who just don't buy tools all that often, and it's not beyond the pale to believe it is real Milwaulkee if they show a pic of same.

We were advised by one of our 6, that actually no laws were broken, as the sellers could simply say the Milwaukee pic was ONLY to show you it would run a Milwaukee tool, or it looked like a Milwaukee, whatever. If they had said it was a Milwaukee, that is fraud. That is a seemingly fine line, and one a lot of folks might not feel good about, in the after, but as the laws are written, it would allow a pass.

Learning, teaching tool.

I hadn't gone to the site until after I posted. They are actually saying it is Milwaukee, so here I feel it's either a really stupid importer, who doesn't know the laws, or it's a rip, but even at bulk cost, I don't believe the seller could make one penny, selling this cheap, and seeing that there really isn't any free lunch, it is highly suspect.

Hopefully, no one here would ever believe this, but is you would, hopefully this written record saying JUST SAY NO!!!!!!!!! will get your attention.

If the goods are genuine, then guess it's similar business to local liquidation broker?

We have a place called sales sumo here in AZ. They essentially sell grey market goods. They buy Home Depot 'surplus' goods by Gaylord pallet box at auction. The pallets can be mysterious combination of stuff. It is how BORG disposes of in store returns, as very few returns are put back on shelf. They also buy excess, and out of season goods if you need x-mas lights in March?
Seems a popular business for folks with space and excess cash. New companies pop up every 6 months, then liquidate a year or two later. Sales Sumo is only one that survives many years now, mostly as they charge higher prices.
Had one place that was selling only hand tool stuff, open Fri-Sat only. Tons of returned battery operated hand tools, bent hand saws, busted levels, bent/broken drill bits, and router bits with broken display boxes. Picked up some brand new Freud router bits for 70% off when they liquidated. LOL

The BORG surplus auction racket is so pervasive in CA/AZ, that regular folks buy pallets for sale on fleabay. About every 6 months some one on CL is advertising liquidation of garage full of stuff they are tired of selling. Hate to admit I looked into the business model, but it is interesting? Buy stuff bulk at less than 20% of retail value, add 5-10% shipping, and sell it for 50% of retail? Can make money on NIB stuff, and usually break even in usable used stuff? Just takes a lot of labor to make it happen.

Sales sumo has huge warehouse, can check out pictures of place on their faceboob page.. Trucks deliver new pallets to warehouse most everyday. Minimum wage folks unpack and categorize NIB stuff for sale as 'new' products at liquidation prices. They advertise larger items like shipping damaged Ridgid TS, jointers, and compressors occasionally on CL. Also see the mig welders supposedly NIB, which were used once for 20 minutes and returned with new tips to make it look unused. Tons of kitchen/bath cabinets/vanities with minor handling/shipping damage. Amazing amount of discontinued high end faucets and plumbing bits in warehouse.

So the sales on Fasterpowertools site might be real branded products, but most don't have any warranty. Borg keeps track of SN on surplus tools. Sales Sumo specifically warns against attempting to de-fraud HD trying to return liquidated goods as new.

Thanks for reading, hope you enjoy a slice of life seldom seen by mortals. :)

There are several dealers in my that buy HD pallets and resell, usually on Craigslist or FB Marketplace. I have gotten some good deals through these guys. Just like any used tool you have to check it out but sometimes it is just a damaged box that has never been opened. The prices on the web store in question are too good even for that.
