Pipe fitters use a three leg stand that has rings that look like washers on the post that wedge at an angle to hold the vertical pipe from slipping back down. Look up pipe supports from Ridge / Rigid tools or just welders pipe stands for pictures. That is in the future for my PM 90 also I have the outboard faceplate, now to make a stand. I just found a Toledo Tools stand for $50. It might be a place to start. The discs hold pretty well, the set screw handle is necessary because of the weight of the pipe.
