Those old variable speed drills come in handy for a lot of things. I use a cordless to raise and lower the trailer jack all the time. I hate to use the hand crank after I hook up, and have to crank it all the way up to keep from hitting something and bending it. also when I unhook I simply screw it down with the drill in seconds. I tack welded a 9/16 bolt to the top of the screw rod , works perfect. When I’m through I store the drill in a tongue mtd. tool box. A single charge last for a long time. I haven’t though about the drill press, I’ll definitely be looking at it now though. |
