I guess it depends on how much you want to spend, but I would get one with a 12” high cutting capacity. I have the G0555 Grizzly Ultimate band saw and I love it. I made a 12” riser for it and I needed every bit of it many times.

I have good things about the Laguna saw and never used one. It is $2000 and the Grizzly ultimate saw is $625
