In many cases a link belt will help produce less vibration than a v-belt. Are you sure that your Ridgid saw has a v-belt? My old Ridgid contractor saw utilized a serpentine belt with matching pulleys so a v-belt or even a link belt wouldn’t even have worked on it without replacing the pulleys too.
