Permethrin SFR Insecticide 36.8 %. You need to make sure it’s 36.8, lighter doesn’t allow you to dilute 80% water 20% killer. All I need to do is spray my doorways a couple of times a year. Any transients, bugs coming, and going back to ground outside die coming, or going. If you see a swarm of ants on the ground, one squirt in the middle takes out the entire herd.

You don’t want to spray where a pet can get to it while wet. If they get close once dried, they will wrinkle up their nose a few feet away, and head elsewhere. The biggest NO is not to spray where it will meet moving water that could head to a creek, river, pond, etc. Has a slight odor. I can’t say it’s unpleasant even, but you note it, while you can smell it is about the same period of time your pets will detour around it. Once the smell goes, the critters can/will play right near it without noted harm. Maybe 2 days.

“Billy” the outlaw insect guy from cable is a user. Seeing him knock swarming wasps out of the air dead, made me a believer.

I wouldn’t use those bug bombs on my tools, covered or not. They get to about 160 degrees when they are going off. We used to use them, and would put them on cheap metal pizza pans to keep the carpet from flaming up. Didn’t use the pans for anything but that use.

Read about them at this US .Gov site. They are talking more about what sounds like the Corn Silo situation in the house here.

I burned my hand on one setting it off, and this led me to ask the Fire guys if they had ever had a fire with them. “All the time” then they guy said 160*, and on carpet no less. My thought is the heat they generate was what would keep me from putting it on a tool. I had just pushed the go button, and got a second degree burn before I could sit it on the pizza pan. It was the last time I used them.
